When insight hasn’t been enough, somatic therapy offers another way forward.glow

Welcome. I’m Kristina

(she/her/ella)

I’m a bilingual (English & Spanish) psychotherapist and social worker licensed in Texas and Louisiana.

I work virtually and often find that being in one’s own space can expand our capacity for deeper therapeutic work, as we surround ourselves with the comforts of home (one of mine is my dog Tabasco, who you may meet!)

I think neuroplasticity is the most hopeful thing about being human, and I’m passionate about supporting clients as they use it to their advantage, re-shaping patterns that may once have felt stuck, and taking paths that previously seemed out of reach.

Lasting change is rarely the result of a “breakthrough”

Instead, it usually reveals itself in small moments, like…

Noticing you’re actually tasting your coffee as you drink it,

Finding your shoulders are no longer living in a perpetual state of reaching towards your ears,

Taking a beat before responding to something that made your chest tighten - or even noticing your chest tightened in the first place.

Over time, small moments add up to new neural pathways, and one day you realize that what felt impossible a year ago has become your new normal.

Therapy supports this process by helping you tend to what your body and mind have been holding so they can slowly release it and make room for something new.
