Neurodivergence-Affirming Psychotherapy
What does it mean to affirm neurodivergence? To me, it means not having to translate yourself, suppress how your body wants to move, make facial expressions or hold eye contact to put others at ease, endure overstimulation, or perform/mask in any way.
We welcome masks with deep respect for the incredibly useful resources they are and how they have helped us survive in an ableist world, but we don’t require them as a prerequisite for understanding or belonging.
